Prelude: Thirteen Tones is an illuminated score for performance. (As such, it does not contain a libretto or musical score.)
It contains thirteen short text pieces which are the textual score for performance (in the manner of Karlheinz Stockhausen's "Aus den sieben Tagen"). The texts are the instructions for the performers.
The players are to include: musicians, vocalists, dancers and live visuals.
This Book is a direct playing out of the Thirteen Tones of the Mayan Calendar. Each text piece represents one Tone, and therein describes the rise and passing of a "entity" within Creation.
As yet, only the text component of The Red Book is complete. Though, it may be performed without the illuminated score if necessary.
